If you look carefully, you realize that Jiang Cheng has his hands around Wei Wuxian's throat like he genuinely is trying to kill his brother.

And then there's their lame attempt to act like nothing unusual happened. It ends with Lan Wangji finding all three of them in a very compromising position it's even the page image for a reason.
